Before arriving on the beach of Saline with its beautiful white sand beach, it will take you a few minutes to climb up and down the sand dune. But Saline is not only a beautiful each, it shows a part of the past of the island and the lives of its inhabitants. Between the coastline and the houses, shelters a salt marsh, exploited for its salt until the 1970s. It also shelters a unique ecosystem: It is the refuge of birds and several rare species which come to reproduce there. This area is one of the most unspoiled on the island.
